Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process, overseen by Oxford City Council, involves an Interim Emergency Temporary Accommodation Framework intended to support homeless applicants. This framework falls under the services industry category, specifically dealing with accommodation services. The primary location for this procurement is within the UKJ1 region. Originally launched in November 2024, this framework operates on an open procedure method and spans a period of four years, allowing suppliers to join at any time. The procurement has now reached the Award stage, with several contracts signed between June and December 2025, each valued at £20 million.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses within the accommodation services sector, particularly those capable of providing emergency and temporary housing solutions. The open nature of the framework permits ongoing participation, making it especially appealing to both large and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) aiming to expand their service offerings. Companies specialising in accommodation services, including hotel and self-contained accommodations, will find this initiative beneficial, as demonstrated by the involvement of various active suppliers like Buckingham Hotels Group Limited and Sai Aryan Properties Ltd. Such engagements underscore the demand and potential rewards for businesses capable of meeting the framework's requirements.
