Summary of the contracting process

The NHS North East London Integrated Care Board (NEL ICB) is preparing to launch a new procurement for its 111 health services. The current phase is for the planning of the procurement process and includes engagement exercises. The process is primarily focused on health services and will take place in the North East London area. Key engagement events are scheduled for the 17th of October (online via MS Teams) and the 24th of October (in-person). Interested individuals and providers must register by the 10th of October. The engagement questionnaire must be submitted by the 31st of October. These events and feedback opportunities are part of a broader effort to design a new model of care, informed by the challenges and changes brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.

This procurement process offers significant business growth opportunities for providers in the health services sector, particularly those experienced in urgent care and responsive service models. Companies with innovative solutions and a strong understanding of integrated care will find this tender particularly relevant. The engagement events will present details of the anticipated contract, procurement approach, and indicative timescales, providing prospective bidders with valuable insights to prepare competitive offers. Organisations that can demonstrate flexibility and innovation in their service delivery will be well-suited to compete in this tender. The process is overseen by the NHS London Commercial Hub, ensuring a comprehensive and transparent engagement.
