Summary of the contracting process

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUH) and the James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (JPUH) are currently in the tender stage of procuring printing services. This contract, valued at £1.5 million, involves the printing and delivery of medical forms, brochures, posters, patient information leaflets, and other printed materials essential for clinical, administrative, and patient communication functions. The procurement is conducted via a restricted procedure with a contract start date of 23 December 2024 and lasting for four years, with an option for two additional one-year extensions. The procurement process will close on 31 October 2024, with all submissions required to be electronic or written, and compliance with both Trusts' sustainability goals is mandatory. The contract aims to cover services across various locations within the East of England (UKH region).

This procurement presents an attractive opportunity for businesses specialising in printing services, especially those with a track record of high-quality production and eco-friendly practices. Companies capable of handling large volume orders, ensuring timely delivery, and adhering to strict branding and quality standards will find this tender particularly beneficial. As the contract also allows for the potential involvement of other Trusts within the Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care System, there are significant expansion possibilities. Firms that can offer competitive pricing and value for money, while supporting sustainability, are well-suited to compete for this lucrative and long-term opportunity.
