Notice Title
Project BRAKESTOP
Notice Description
This ITT aims to rapidly accelerate development of One-Way Effector (OWE) (Heavy) technology under the auspice of Project BRAKESTOP. This is an rapid capability requirement and as such we are looking for suppliers to operate at a speed of relevance and to take an agile approach. The payload & casing, fusing/initiation device, test range and Government SME advice will be provided as GFX by the Authority. However, it should be noted that vendor proposed payloads will also be considered. The ground-based launch vehicle will also be provided. Other elements of GFX will also be considered. Further details will be provided at the bidders conference on 14th November 2024 (details to follow). The Authority recognises that a full OWE Heavy integration system may not currently exist with a single supplier and understands (but is not demanding) that the solution may be delivered by a consortia of companies from across the community of interest. The intention is to address the lack of current options in the market by increasing the number of delivery-ready platforms in order to meet a high priority requirement. This will also support and develop the Authority's understanding of the potential capabilities and uses of such OWE Heavy systems/platforms in the longer term. The Authority intends to fund and facilitate accelerated development of one or more OWE Heavy platform capabilities to meet or exceed the Authority's requirements. Tenderers will submit proposals under a competitive ITT in order to secure funding to develop their platforms to the level of capability defined within the tender documentation.
