(MARKET ENGAGEMENT ONLY) Production and Supply of Poultry Rate Cards for APHA
Notice Description
Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) is seeking to engage a supplier to produce and supply specified Poultry Rate Cards on a regular basis to reflect the market value of breeding, laying and meat production birds at various stages in their lifecycle, including consideration of age in days/weeks. The Poultry Rate Cards may be used where the Authority is required to or chooses to pay compensation for poultry or other captive birds.<br/><br/>The Authority is seeking this information to inform decisions around the Procurement Strategy and to identify suppliers within this market. An estimated total value is therefore not provided at this stage.

Lot 1
This procurement will require the potential supplier to provide the required Poultry Rate Cards for an initial period of 4 years with the option of extending the contract for a further period of up to a maximum of 24 months.
There are two elements to the requirement. The potential supplier shall (a) provide regular review and updates as required, of a variety of rate cards at specified intervals (typically quarterly); and (b) be prepared to conduct bespoke valuations for different bird types/production systems or to provide expert advice if requested.
The potential supplier will need to have and maintain knowledge of the United Kingdom poultry and game rearing industry, including conditions in Northern Ireland. Additional information: The purpose of this Prior Information Note is to understand the market appetite and ability to resource and bid for this work. We are requesting you respond to this PIN by answering the following question:
1) Are you interested in bidding for this work, and can you meet any or all the requirements outlined above?
Your response should be submitted by email to mandy.worsnop@defra.gov.uk on or before 3pm (GMT) on Thursday 15 November 2024. The Authority may contact you to confirm your interest and ability to meet our requirement.
It should be noted that this PIN invites individuals and organisations to express an interest in this exercise only. It is NOT a pre-qualification questionnaire, and it is NOT part of any pre-qualification or selection process.
