NHS Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board intend to award a contract to Stort Valley Healthcare Ltd for the Provision of Enhanced Health in Care Homes following a robust Most Suitable Provider Process. This service is Primary Care led, in collaboration with local system partners, and is to deliver an integrated Enhanced Health service in all care homes (residential and nursing), as registered by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), supported by East and North Practices, and which are covered under the PCN DES/DES plus. Inclusive of non-weight bearing and Discharge to Assess beds (DTA) as well as Learning disability adult care homes. Exclusive of short stay respite services, neurological services, and flexi care schemes.
The contract shall commence on 01 April 2025 and end on 31 March 2028.
This contract is a 2 year pilot (Contract value PS1,644,000) with an option to extend for a further 1 year (Contract value: PS822,000) at the discretion of the commissioner. The lifetime contract value is estimated to be PS2,466,000.
This is a new service and has been awarded to a new provider.
The award criteria is the Most Suitable Provider Process Key Selection Criteria.
Options: This contract is a 2 year pilot with an option to extend for a further 1 year at the discretion of the commissioner.
Procurement Information
This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The standstill period begins on the day after the publication of this notice. Representations by providers must be made to decision makers by 05th February 2025. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR.
