Summary of the contracting process

Hampshire County Council's Public Health team is in the planning stage of re-procuring the Men's Targeted Weight Loss Programme, categorised under health and social work services. The programme, focusing on effective interventions for adult weight loss, is slated for service delivery across multiple locations in Hampshire. The deadline for the receipt of expressions of interest and clarifications is 5:00 pm on 31st January 2025, with a future notice date scheduled for 3rd March 2025. The procurement process, initiated via a tender mechanism, has a total value of GBP 75,000.

This tender opportunity is advantageous for businesses specialising in health services, specifically those with expertise in weight management programmes. Suitable providers include those capable of delivering high-quality, standardised football-based interventions and multi-component weight management programmes. Companies focusing on dietary intake, physical activity, and behaviour change elements would particularly benefit, especially those capable of reaching socio-economically disadvantaged groups in Hampshire. The requirement for a minimum of ten accessible locations within the county broadens the scope for businesses capable of extensive outreach and adaptable service delivery.
