The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by 9 January 2025. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR.<br/><br/>The decision-maker is the Programme Director - Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) Programme, Somerset ICS Diagnostics Lead.<br/><br/>There were no declared conflicts or potential conflicts of interest of individuals making the decision.<br/><br/>The highest weighting was attributed to the the value of the contract due to the limited financial envelope for this service, all other elements had equal weightings. <br/><br/>The RNID were chosen as the provider due to their ability to deliver the contract within budget and having a proven track record of successfully delivering the service for a number of other NHS Trusts. RNID is also a nationally recognised charity supporting people with hearing loss.",
