Notice Description
Brighter Futures for Children (BFfC) wants to commission up to 8 retained children's residential placement beds using block contracts.We have indicated below the description of the Lots that we are seeking to offer contracts:Group 1 - Crisis Care - Planned and Same Day Residential CareGroup 2 - Therapeutic Residential CareGroup 3 - Provider ProposalGroup 4 -Children with Disabilities: We are seeking Provider to offer specialism, included one or more of the following support needs: Physical Disability, Sensory loss, Learning Disability, Autism Spectrum, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity, Emotional Behavioural supportGroup 5 - Children's Home 16/17 year olds with care and support needsChildren's Residential Home providers shall be based within a 20 mile radius of Reading. The aim of this is: * Improved Brighter Futures for Children achievement of the target to accommodate 80% of children within 20 miles of Reading boundary.* To achieve more competitive rates and better access

Crisis Care - Planned and Same Day Residential Care
Lot 1 Crisis Care - Planned and Same Day Residential Care This service will deliver child centred service to support children in need of crisis support, to support them to regulate and stabilise. We require this as a short term assessment service up to 12 weeks, with planned move on into longer term placement. The provider will consider same day placements where this is safe to do so with minimum disruption to current placements. Block 2 bedsAge range 9-18
Renewal: 24 months extension available following 2 year contract
Children with Disabilities:Lot 4 Children with Disabilities: We are seeking Provider to offer specialism, included one or more of the following support needs: Physical Disability, Sensory loss, Learning Disability, Autism Spectrum, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity, Emotional Behavioural supportWe are seeking providers to establish a block contract with us. Preferably located within Reading area. Ideally across more than one site to allow more effective management of matching placements. Services are required for children and young people with physical or mental impairment that has a substantial and long-term adverse effect on his/her ability to carry out day-to-day activities. Children's Home 16/17 year olds with care and support needsLot 5 Children's Home 16/17 year olds with care and support needsWe are seeking Provider to offer children's home service to 16/17 year old children with care needs, with aim to either support child into independence at 18 : or to work with Children's Services and Adult Social care to manage an appropriate move on to Adult Services provision when care needs meet Adult Services threshold. Block 1 bedsAge range 16-18

Therapeutic Residential CareLot 2 Therapeutic Residential Care We are seeking providers to establish a block contract with us. Demonstrating expertise to deliver therapeutic care, within an identified, evidence-based, nationally recognised, therapeutic model; for children with complex psychological, emotional and behavioural needs, including EBD and including sexualised behaviours. This service will deliver child centred service to support long term stable placements of children. The service will build a flexible approach around the needs of child in placement and work with Social Care to support with any changing needs. Block 2 bedsAge range 9-18

Provider ProposalWe are seeking Providers to propose solutions to issues evidenced in the Brighter Futures for Children Sufficiency Strategy 2024-2025. We are seeking to invite Providers to propose innovative solutions to supporting the needs identified in our Transformation Programme. BFfC reserves the right not to take up this option.
