This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in software and health and safety solutions to provide innovative solutions that enhance staff safety in rural work environments. Companies proficient in communication software, IT solutions, and industry-specific software aimed at health and safety services will find this tender especially relevant. The anticipated demand for hundreds of apps and devices indicates a substantial business opportunity, particularly for providers who can ensure functionality in areas with limited GPS signal. Smaller tech firms and established safety products providers alike are positioned to benefit from successfully competing for this contract.

Notice Title

Provision of Lone Working App and Devices

Notice Description

Angus Council requires a combination of a Lone Working App and/or Lone Working Devices for a variety of services and workers across numerous departments

Lot Information

Lot 1

Requirement for an APP based service and also a device based service to assist staff in their Lone Working environment. Staff safety will be at the forefront of any solution or device and something that will mitigate risk where possible to offer staff a safer working environment in varying job roles across numerous council department and teams. Due to the rural nature of Angus, any APP or device would need the functionality to work for example, where there is potentially no immediate GPS signal to use. Whilst we have no immediate figures for our requirements, it is likely to run into the hundreds. Additional information: We are currently carrying out a scoping exercise with all interested internal departments to ascertain exact numbers, requirements, risks and outcomes to be achieved by any APP or device provided.
