Summary of the contracting process

The London Borough of Southwark has initiated an exploratory tender process titled "AIDATS Market Testing Exercise" within the health services industry. This endeavour aims to update the council's understanding of the provider landscape, best practices, and market sector considerations for a future all-age community integrated drug and alcohol treatment and recovery service contract. The deadline for service providers to complete the online questionnaire is 23:59 on Friday, 21 March 2025. The exercise is investigatory and will inform the council's future commissioning decisions, although this tender stage is not a call for competition.

This tender provides significant opportunities for businesses specializing in health services, particularly those with expertise in drug and alcohol treatment and recovery systems. It presents a chance for such businesses to engage early, shape future procurement processes, and position themselves strategically for upcoming opportunities. Firms offering integrated support for individuals of all ages affected by substance use, and who are equipped to deliver services such as community drug and alcohol treatment, clinical interventions, and recovery navigation, would be well-suited to compete. Engaging in this market testing exercise can provide invaluable insights and potential advantages for future procurement tenders within Southwark.
