Summary of the contracting process

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has completed the contracting process for the provision of ECG Interpretation services. This procurement, classified under the CPV code 85100000 (Health services), involved a direct award under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, with the contract being awarded to Broomwell Healthwatch Limited. The procurement was carried out without prior publication of a call for competition as it falls outside the scope of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The agreement, valued at £40,870 excluding VAT, will span from 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2026 and will be provided across designated sites in the UKJ11 region.

This contract offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in healthcare services, particularly those focused on diagnostic support activities. As the service involves transmitting and interpreting ECG recordings, tech-savvy companies with robust health monitoring capabilities could see substantial growth potential here. Organisations with a track record of service quality, cost-effectiveness, and operational efficiency in healthcare settings would be well-positioned to compete for similar opportunities in the future. Engaging successfully in such tenders can help businesses expand their footprint in the healthcare sector, particularly in the area of remote monitoring and diagnostics.
