The South West Police Procurement Service, on behalf of Avon and Somerset Police, are currently undertaking early market engagement and considering various route to market options in order to run a successful procurement process for their future washroom services requirement due to commence in April 2026. To be linked to the Waste Management Services tender as a potential additional Lot, which is due in April 2025.

1192 - AVON & SOMERSET POLICE - WASHROOM SERVICESTHIS NOTICE IS FOR PRIOR INFORMATION ONLY FOR THE PURPOSES OF IDENTIFYING SUPPLIERS TO TAKE PART IN EARLY MARKET ENGAGEMENT AND IS NOT A CALL FOR COMPETITION.The South West Police Procurement Service, on behalf of Avon and Somerset Police, are currently undertaking early market engagement and considering various route to market options in order to run a successful procurement process for their future washroom services requirement due to commence in April 2026. Avon & Somerset's washroom services requirement includes services such as the collection and disposal of sanitary waste, collection and disposal of medical and sharps waste, hard & soft clinical waste as well as other associated washroom related equipment, including the supply. SWPPS wish to invite potential suppliers who may be interested in assisting with this early market engagement to answer a number of specific questions and then, an opportunity to meet with SWPPS and Avon & Somerset Police (via Teams) to discuss their responses.The purpose of the Prior Information Notice (PIN) is for early engagement with the market prior to undertaking a formal tender process. We will be seeking input from the supply market to inform our requirements, to help formulate our specification for the services and help identify routes to market. There is the possibility this waste stream will be included as an additional Lot under the Avon & Somerset Waste Management Services tender. If you are interested in supporting Avon and Somerset Police and SWPPS with this engagement, please respond to this PIN by emailing Rebecca.boyd@devonandcornwall.pnn.police.uk and we will be in touch with a number of questions so you can undertake any preparatory work you think necessary before attending a Microsoft Teams meeting to discuss your responses if you so wish. The closing date for this pre-market engagement questionnaire returns and subsequent Teams meetings will be 12 noon on 5th March 2025.SWPPS are committed to ensuring fairness, openness and transparency, and to follow the Public Contract Regulations 2015. The PIN is issued solely for the purpose of conducting pre-procurement market testing and engagement. Interested parties will not be prejudiced or advantaged by any response or lack thereof to the PIN. This PIN does not constitute a call for competition to procure any services, supplies or work for Avon & Somerset Police or SWPPS. SWPPS are not liable for any costs, fees, or expenses incurred by any party in replying to the PIN.
