It is particularly suitable for providers experienced in working with adults with complex needs and adhering to rigorous care standards, including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005. The flexible nature of the DPS allows new providers to join at any time, offering ample opportunity for market entry. Providers will need to demonstrate high-quality, person-centred care, ensuring compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements where applicable. This procurement process supports collaborative work with families and health professionals, aiming to enhance the quality of life for individuals requiring specialist care.
