The Council intends to establish a closed framework for the provision of care and support services at home across 12 neighbourhoods within the Liverpool region. The Council currently supports 2,700 residents across the region, commissioning c35,000 hours per week.

Lot 1

Renewal: The option to extend is for up to 36 months in any number of configurations. Extensions will be used at the sole discretion of the contracting authority. The framework and contracts will be managed, and performance monitored, throughout the term which will support any option to extend. Ongoing requirements and service scope will also be considered.

Planning Information

The Council is seeking to engage with domiciliary care providers in the market to inform the design and delivery of a 'Care at home' contract. As of November 2024, Liverpool City Council procures approximately 44,000 hours of home care each week, supporting 2,500 people at any one time. The 2024-25 budgeted cost of this service is £32m. The Council have developed a market interest questionnaire which sets out the information the Council is seeking from providers. The closing date for responses to the questionnaire is Tuesday 25 March 2025 at 11am. The opportunity is open for the Council to view responses as soon as they are submitted.
