This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply in this award. The current re procurement of MSK Pain Management and Rheumatology Services has had unforeseen delays and there must not be a gap in service provision for the population which would impact patients by deteriorating their current conditions. The current contract with the incumbent expires on 31st October 2025 and as a consequence there is a requirement to award a short term contract whilst the procurement concludes. The new contract will be for a further 7 months with an option to extend for a further 5 months from 01st April 2025 to 31st March 2026.
