The planned procurement is to recommission a service which facilitates a range of support for people living with dementia in the community, with a focus on the person living with dementia themselves and connects those that have an unpaid caring role for them into appropriate support offered by or in partnership with other services. The provider will facilitate a range of opportunities and also work with partner organisations to embed co-produced approaches to dementia support in local organisations. The types of activity include: information courses, peer support, contribution to strategy , policy, research, awareness raising, workforce training and learning. The provider will also contribute to local and regional strategy groups, networks and needs assessment.
