Summary of the contracting process

In a recent procurement process, the Ministry of Justice has completed the awarding of a contract for "Supply of administrative clerks for tribunal services." This contract falls under the "Law-courts-related administrative services" category within the services industry. The main locations for service delivery are hospitals across England, particularly for Mental Health Tribunals. Key dates include the contract signing on 17 February 2025, with a duration of 12 months and an option for an extension of an additional 12 months if needed. The procurement method utilised was limited due to extreme urgency, bypassing the standard competitive tendering procedures to ensure continuity of service. Hays Specialist Recruitment Ltd has been awarded the contract, valued at £1,000,000, with provisions for continuous improvement of services.

This tender presents substantial growth opportunities for businesses specialising in legal or administrative services, particularly those with expertise in handling tribunal processes. Companies that can offer flexible, high-quality clerical support might find similar opportunities attractive, especially if they can manage rapid deployment to various locations as dictated by the tribunal's needs. Given the urgency and the importance of uninterrupted service delivery, businesses capable of providing reliable, timely staffing solutions are especially well-suited to compete for these types of contracts.
