Notice Description
Sandwell Council is inviting GP Practices to submit expressions of interest for the delivery of the NHS Health Check program, set to commence in April 2025. The Council is also looking for practices to submit expressions of interest for the delivery of the NHS Health Check programme on behalf of other practices, who do not have the recourses/ capacity to delivery the programme at their own practice. This Particular procurement falls under the Provider Selection Regime 2023 (Direct Award Process B).

This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.Direct award process B must be used when all of the following apply: * the proposed contracting arrangements relate to health care services where patients are offered a choice of provider * the number of providers is not restricted by the relevant authority * the relevant authority will offer contracts to all providers to whom an award can be made because they meet all requirements in relation to the provision of the health care services to patients * the relevant authority has arrangements in place to enable providers to express an interest in providing the health care services. Where relevant authorities are required to offer choice to patients under the National Health Service Commissioning Board and Clinical Commissioning Groups (Responsibilities and Standing Rules) Regulations 2012 (as amended), they cannot restrict the number of providers and therefore direct award process B must be followed.
