Individual Placement and Support Service to NHS Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board
Notice Description
NHS Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board sought to secure a Provider who has the capability and capacity to deliver Individual Placement and Support in line with the specified requirements. The service will provide intensive, individual support aiming to help people with a Severe Mental illness (SMI) to gain and retain paid competitive employment with the implementation of the evidenced based IPS employment approach. The service will be for people aged 18+ with an SMI open to secondary mental health care and also Primary Care. The geography covered is Bath, North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire. The contract will be for an initial 3 year term with 2 optional extensions of any period of up to 1 year per extension with service commencement on the 1st April 2026. The contract value is PS1,186,995 per annum giving a total value of PS3,560,985 over the initial 3 year term, PS4,747,980 if the first extension is adopted, and PS5,934,975 if all extensions are adopted. This exercise is being carried out by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioner.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. NHS Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board intends to award a contract under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Regulation 11, Competitive process to Shaw Trust Limited to deliver Individual Placement and Support service. This is a new service, awarded to a new provider. The service will provide intensive, individual support aiming to help people with a Severe Mental illness (SMI) to gain and retain paid competitive employment with the implementation of the evidenced based IPS employment approach.
