This tender process is designed to address the council's statutory obligations, align with corporate goals, and cater to the needs of service users. The services encompass various forms of advocacy, including Independent Mental Health Advocacy and Care Act Advocacy, under the health and social work services category. Located in Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire, the procurement aligns with the light touch regime and is above threshold. Key dates include a deadline for the pre-market engagement questionnaire on 25 May 2025 and the future notice publication scheduled for 1 September 2025. The estimated contract value is £1,490,000 excluding VAT, rising to £1,800,000 with VAT included.

This tender offers significant opportunities for growth, particularly for small to medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs), given the emphasis on suitability for these types of businesses. The extended contract period, with the possibility of renewal, further amplifies potential business expansion and consistent revenue streams over a multi-year term. With a focus on health and social work services, companies specialising in advocacy services within this sector stand to benefit substantially by aligning their proposals with the council's strategic objectives and service needs.
