Summary of the contracting process

The Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has completed the procurement process for the "Supply, Lease and Service Maintenance of EV Tow Tugs". This significant contract involves the acquisition and leasing of Electric Tow Tugs/Tractors and ancillary units, valued at £840,000. The procurement was executed via an open procedure in compliance with the Procurement Act 2024. The awarded contract began on 1st April 2026 and spans until 30th September 2032, delivering goods across the UKF region in the United Kingdom. The procurement falls under the 'goods' category with a focus on transport equipment, aligning with the health services industry needs for specialised vehicles and trailers.

This tender presents substantial business growth potential by combining the purchase and leasing models, appealing in particular to SMEs like John Bradshaw Ltd, the contract awardee. Suppliers of specialist vehicle solutions, ancillary trailer configurations, and service maintenance providers are well-positioned to benefit from such contracts. This opportunity grants businesses a long-term engagement in the healthcare sector, favouring those equipped to meet the technical and social value criteria outlined in the tender specifications. The contract's comprehensive approach ensures that businesses capable of providing innovative transport solutions and responsive service maintenance are well-suited to compete in future tenders.
