Notice Description

DNA testing is required to establish paternity when exploring safe and appropriate care options for children and young people within the child protection system and any provider must be Ministry of Justice Accredited. Drug and alcohol testing is used to support social care to establish whether a child or young person's caring environment is safe and meeting their physical and emotional needs. Best practice guidance suggests that providers of drug and alcohol testing should be UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) accredited to the international quality standard ISO 17025 (2017 version).

Planning Information

Pre Market Engagement event to be held over Microsoft Teams on Monday 19th May from 12noon to 1p.m.. This event will be to introduce the service we want to commission and to ask providers of any barriers that stop them tendering for the service. There will be opportunity for providers to ask questions following a short presentation by the commissioner of the service. There will also be opportunity to ask the Wiltshire procurement colleague any questions in relation to the procurement route for this service. If you would like to attend this event please respond to this notice in the "Messages" section of ProContract, by 17:00hrs on Friday 16th May, advising who will be attending from your organisation. We would welcome up to two representatives from each organisation wishing to attend. A Microsoft Teams invitation will be sent to each representative, so please provide an e-mail address!
