Summary of the contracting process

Cambridgeshire County Council is facilitating a public procurement process for the "25076 Homecare Framework," with a focus on providing regulated homecare services across Cambridgeshire. This initiative, managed under the competitive flexible procedure method, is currently in the tender stage, having been updated on 15th July 2026. The framework, which carries a substantial gross budget of £928,080,000, seeks service delivery across different local geographic areas, enhancing continuity and responsiveness of care. Suppliers are asked to submit their expressions of interest by 19th August 2026, as the enquiry period concludes on 7th August 2026. The contract, set to begin distribution on 1st November 2027, spans multiple locations within Cambridgeshire, promising consistency in health and social work services as classified under CPV: 85000000.

The procurement process offers lucrative opportunities for businesses able to meet stringent quality, responsiveness, and partnership criteria. The framework's design to support up to 17 lots allows suitable SMEs and VCSEs to participate significantly. By adopting a place-based service model, the contract encourages local businesses to support sustainable community partnerships. Firms excelling in quality care delivery, possessing robust CQC registrations, and a commitment to workforce innovation are ideal candidates for engaging in this flexible, outcome-focused contract, providing an ideal growth avenue for service providers looking to solidify or expand their footprint within this essential public health domain.
