Summary of the contracting process

Supply Chain Coordination Limited conducted a procurement process for environmental decontamination equipment and services under the tender titled "Environmental Decontamination 2026." The procurement, managed using an open procedure, was aimed at supplying products and services to NHS Supply Chain depots across the United Kingdom. In this stage, contracts were awarded for various lots, including fogging/misting equipment, UVC machines, air purification systems, and healthcare water treatment systems. The process involved several suppliers and concluded with framework agreements intended for implementation starting from 30 March 2026. The formal contract period spans until 27 March 2028, with potential extensions up to 24 months as per the framework agreement guidelines.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for businesses specializing in environmental safety, healthcare infrastructure, and sanitation equipment. The tender opens pathways for suppliers, including SMEs, to partner with public sector entities, leveraging the NHS's expansive reach and resource management capabilities. Companies dealing with air purification, water treatment technology, or innovative decontamination methods are encouraged to engage with these contracts to expand their market presence and establish lasting collaborations with key government bodies. The framework agreement offers a flexible procurement approach through direct awards, allowing advantageous procurement processes and fostering sustainable business growth within the UK's healthcare sector.
