        "description": "The London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham (the Council) is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to tender for the delivery of Community Reablement & Home Care Services. This procurement supports a continuum of support available to residents to regain or retain their independence living in the community. The services will provide support for adults in Hammersmith & Fulham by proactively taking all opportunities to build on people's strengths, maximise their independence and connect them with their community. This procurement represents a strategic redesign of the previous service model. It reflects learning from previous delivery, stakeholder engagement, and evolving adults social care priorities. The new model will have a focus on reablement enabling support to residents to regain the skills, confidence and social networks to return to their previous levels of independence as far as possible and reduce the likelihood of admission/ re-admission to hospital, or the need for long term care and support. Scope of Services: The commissioned services will provide intensive, enabling support to residents to regain the skills, confidence and social networks to return to their previous levels of independence as far as possible and reduce the likelihood of admission/ re-admission to hospital, or the need for long term care and support. While many people will not need support after reablement, some people will require further support to enable them to continue to live safely at home. The new model will take a more enabling approach to homecare, thereby increasing opportunities for further independence through closer relationships with our community health and primary care services to ensure early intervention when there is any deterioration or concerns with health conditions.",

            "statusDetails": "Thank you to those potential providers for their participation in the recent London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham's Community Reablement & Home Care Services for Adults in Hammersmith & Fulham procurement. Following careful consideration, the Council has taken the decision to abandon the procurement on the basis that, in its current form, it does not adequately reflect the Council's requirements. The procurement will not therefore proceed further in its current form. As set out in the Invitation to Tender, the Council has the right to amend or cancel the procurement process at any stage and shall not be liable for any costs incurred by participants in doing so (see Section 1: Procurement Scope and General Information of Volume 1 - Invitation to Tender). The Council remains committed to commissioning high-quality Community Reablement and Homecare services. The Council intends to issue the revised tender in due course, which is expected to reflect broadly the same scope, scale, and volume of services, with strengthened criteria to support the process. We currently anticipate that the new procurement will be issued promptly, and further details, including the revised procurement documentation and a new timetable, will be published on the e-portal at the appropriate time.
