Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process is being conducted by Wirral Council, a public authority within the sub-central government in the United Kingdom, specifically located in Wallasey. The contract, titled "Support to keep families together - Pre market engagement," falls under the services category, specifically welfare services for children and young people (CPV: 85311300). This tender process is currently in the planning stage, with a significant milestone being a pre-market engagement questionnaire published on the Chest portal. Interested parties are encouraged to respond by 12 Noon on 11th June 2025. The procurement method involves a pre-market engagement, which aims to gather input from organisations interested in providing support to prevent family or placement breakdowns.

This tender presents considerable opportunities for businesses specialising in providing welfare services for children and young people, particularly those capable of facilitating temporary separations to allow time for stabilising permanent care arrangements. Companies experienced in offering supportive environments or resources that align with the short-term break requirements stipulated by the Council could find this procurement process beneficial for expanding their service offerings. Organisations with expertise in managing light-touch, flexible services within public sector constraints are well-suited to compete in this procurement opportunity.
