Summary of the contracting process

The Humber Health Partnership, comprising the Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust, is in the planning stage of a significant procurement process focused on domestic services. This includes cleaning services and patient meal provision across multiple sites, such as the Hull Royal Infirmary and the Diana Princess of Wales Hospital. The procurement falls under the services industry category and is centrally located in the United Kingdom, particularly within the UKE region. Important milestones include a scheduled market engagement due by 28 February 2026, with the subsequent tender notice expected to be published by 1 May 2026. The contract is planned to commence in April 2027 and could potentially extend through March 2034, signalling a long-term commitment to improving healthcare facilities' service efficiency and quality.

This procurement offers significant business opportunities, particularly for suppliers of soft facilities management services such as housekeeping, janitorial, and meal provision services. Additionally, organisations providing innovative service delivery models, emerging trends in digital enablement, or sustainable partnership approaches may find this tender particularly appealing. The project aims to integrate solutions that enhance the patient experience through high standards of hygiene and nutrition, promising a collaborative relationship with selected providers. Given the procurement’s focus on flexibility and resilience, businesses with a robust portfolio in healthcare service management or those looking to expand their footprint in public sector contracts would be well-positioned to compete and grow through this engagement opportunity.
