Summary of the contracting process

The London Borough of Hackney is in the planning stages of the "Preliminary Market Engagement - De Beauvoir New Homes Project," as part of its Housing Supply Programme. The project aims to deliver up to 341 new homes, including 45% affordable housing, as well as public realm improvements on the De Beauvoir Estate, located in the UKI41 region, United Kingdom. Key activities include market engagement with a mandatory briefing and site visit scheduled for 12th June 2025, with registration owing by 9th June 2025. This procurement process will utilise the Competitive Flexible procedure under the Procurement Act 2023, with an estimated project value of £150 million.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the construction sector, particularly those specialising in residential and mixed-use developments. The scale of the De Beauvoir New Homes Project and its emphasis on public realm enhancements will appeal to businesses that can demonstrate experience in delivering large-scale urban projects. Firms with a focus on sustainable development and those capable of accommodating mixed-tenure residential projects will be particularly well-suited to compete for this lucrative opportunity. Engaging in this project could not only enhance a company’s portfolio but also open doors for future collaborations with local government bodies.
