Framework Contract for the Provision of Engineering Services
Notice Description
The current Engineering Services Framework consists of eleven lots and is due to expire in June 2026, we are therefore preparing to introduce a new framework to cover the current services with the potential to introduce new lots where required. The new framework will seek to appoint suppliers for the provision of services on an as and when required basis, predominantly in relation to the effects of past mining liabilities and other areas of responsibility of the Mining Remediation Authority. Services required will include, but not be limited to - Investigation into the causes of failure, condition assessment, damage quantification and solution design for damage to roads, bridges, buildings, drainage land etc. caused by past mining. - The areas of expertise may include civil, structural, geotechnical, mining, mechanical and electrical engineering, also environmental, health and safety, contract procurement, agricultural and specialist land drainage advice relating to past coal mining subsidence liabilities and other specialist service areas such as hydrology and hydrogeology. Lots on the current Framework Lot 1 - Mine Water Treatment Schemes and Mine Related Interventions: Scoping, Feasibility and Design Lot 2 - Civil and Structural Engineering Lot 3 - Archaeological Services Lot 4 - Ecology & Environmental Lot 5 - Planning Services Lot 6 - Land Drainage: Agricultural and Specialist Lot 7 - Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) Lot 8 - Sustainability Economics and reporting benefits/improvement Lot 9 - Treatability Lot 10 - Waste Characterisation and Management Services Lot 11 - Project Management, Supervisory Services and Cost Consultancy Proposed additional Lots on the new Engineering Services Framework Gas Services Engineering Consultancy/QS Services
Planning Information
We will be looking to hold some market engagement sessions to allow us to provide some information on the current framework and plans for the upcoming framework. The engagement events will be held over teams and dates are to be confirmed in due course. To express your interest in the market engagement sessions please contact Natalie Earnshaw, Assistant Procurement Business Partner at natalie.earnshaw@miningremediation.gov.uk Any costs incurred by participating in this exercise must be borne by the participating organisations. Please note that any future procurement will be subject to a separate advertisement and it is intended that the contract notice will be published in June 2026.
