Notice Description

The London Borough of Bromley ("the Council") is inviting tenders from potential providers with the relevant experience and technical ability to deliver INDEPENDENT VISITORS SERVICE FOR CHILDREN LOOKED AFTER. Independent Visitors provide a support and befriending service to children and young people who are in care. The primary aims of the Independent Visitor is to: 1.1 Visit, advise and befriend the young person, taking a long-term interest in their welfare and development. This is achieved through regular visits. 1.2 To provide a consistent adult figure in the young person's life, when there is no family member able to take on this role. 1.3 To facilitate and support the development of children and young people to develop meaningful relationships.

Renewal: The Council may, by giving written notice to the Contractor of not less than 3 months prior to the expiry of the Initial Contract Period, extend the Contract in respect of the whole or part of the Services for a further period of up to two years after the Initial Contract Period.
