Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process for the "COV - Preventative Support Programme Recommissioning" is currently in the planning stage and is being initiated by Coventry City Council, a sub-central government public authority located in Coventry, United Kingdom. This initiative falls under the industry category of health and social work services, with specific consideration for mental health, learning disabilities, older people, sensory impairment, and dementia. Key activities within the process include market engagement, with a milestone scheduled to conclude by 30th June 2025. The procurement method employed here is a tender process aimed at gathering insights via preliminary market engagement to effectively inform service specifications under budgetary constraints. The anticipated contract period is set to run from 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2030.

This tender represents a substantial opportunity for businesses involved in health and social work services to contribute to vital community support services focusing on crisis prevention and intervention. It is particularly suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs) due to its focus on accessible and effective service models. Engaging with this market opportunity allows organisations to shape future service delivery and gain potentially significant contracts, supporting diverse needs across Coventry's population, especially for under-represented groups. Businesses focused on providing inclusive, community-based solutions stand to benefit significantly from participating in this procurement process.

Notice Title

COV - Preventative Support Programme Recommissioning

Notice Description

Coventry City Council and Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board currently fund preventative support services under the following categories: - Mental health - Learning disabilities - Older people - Sensory impairment - Dementia Budget pressures mean that when we recommission this programme for 2026/27, we will be required to focus more sharply on crisis prevention and intervention for the groups most at risk of harm should support not be available. We are engaging with the market to help us understand: * Which members of this group are most at risk of poor outcomes if support is not offered * What models of support are both effective and affordable, enabling us to reach as many people as possible with our limited budget * What alternatives there are in the community to support these groups of people * How we can make services accessible to everyone, especially Black and Asian people who are under-represented in those receiving support across all these areas. * Though budgets are not yet confirmed, we would like an indication of the kind of service organisations would anticipate being able to deliver for the indicative budgets Please access all relevant documents via the Council's e-procurement system - CSW-JETS - https://in-tendhost.co.uk/csw-jets
