Notice Title

Supply and/or Fit of Replacement Fiat Ducato Engines for DCAs

Notice Description

South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to engage with suppliers who can provide replacement engines for Fiat Ducato-based Double Crewed Ambulances (DCAs). This early market engagement aims to assess supplier capabilities and inform potential procurement options. Scope of Interest: We are interested in suppliers who can offer either: * Fully dressed replacement engines (new or reconditioned), or * Supply and fit services, including vehicle collection and redelivery. Key Information for Respondents: Vehicle registration numbers will be provided to enable accurate engine identification via standard motor factor systems. We are seeking information on the following: 1. Engine Type: * Are the engines new or reconditioned? * Please note: reconditioned engines must meet high reliability standards due to known rebuild challenges. 2. Warranty Terms: * Minimum expectations: 50,000 miles and 1-2 years. * Please specify any servicing requirements to maintain warranty (e.g. oil and filter changes at 1,500, 5,000, and every 10,000 miles thereafter). 3. Service Offering: * Do you offer a fitting service? * If so, does it include collection and redelivery of the DCA? 4. Turnaround Time and Capacity: * Typical lead time for engine replacement. * Capacity to handle multiple vehicles simultaneously. 5. Aftersales Support: * Contact points for technical queries or warranty issues. 6. Engine Specification (if supply only): * Is the engine fully dressed (including injectors, clutch, flywheel, etc.)? * Or is it a bare block requiring transfer of ancillaries from the original engine? * Please highlight any additional parts typically required and potential cost implications. Next Steps: Interested suppliers are invited to express their interest and provide responses to the above points. This is not a call for competition but a request for information to support future procurement planning.
