Lincolnshire County Council Supported Accommodation 2027
Notice Description
Lincolnshire County Council are undertaking a full service review of Supported Accommodation to determine the requirement from April 2027. Service users in scope include: > Children in Care (CiC) aged 16-17 years old > Young people aged 16-17 years old (not CiC) who are homeless or at risk of homelessness > Care leavers aged 18-21 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness LCC's service review of Supported Accommodation includes: local, regional and national data and delivery benchmarking; statutory requirements and best practice examples, engagement with internal stakeholders; engagement with Supported Accommodation providers; and engagement with young people aged 16-21. The Supported Accommodation service review is intended to lead to recommendations around system and service redesign, service development, and potential Supported Accommodation procurements, which will be in place by 1st April 2027.

Lincolnshire County Council Supported Accommodation 2027 Lincolnshire County Council Children's Services are undertaking a Service Review into Supported Accommodation (DN778728) and are seeking to engage with the market, related and involved professionals, stakeholders, and children and young people aged 16-21 who are currently accommodated by the Local Authority. Children's Commissioning have engaged with professionals (social workers, Leaving Care Workers, Virtual School, Early Help etc) to seek their views on Supported Accommodation and the needs of the cohort, and have also undertaken some engagement with young people. Further engagement will be undertaken with young people via a targeted survey on www.LetsTalk.Lincolnshire.gov.uk which will run from July to the end of August 2025; this survey will be promoted to 16-21 year olds accommodated by the Council and will include Children in Care (CiC) including Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC), young people accommodated due to homelessness, and care leavers (including former-UASC care leavers). The Council also wish to engage with a providers of accommodation and support services who have a presence in Lincolnshire, or who would be interested in delivering and developing future services in county, to present the current picture in Lincolnshire for 16-21 year old Supported Accommodation, the timelines for recommendations and decision making, and start date for any contracts to be procured. Providers interested in offering supported accommodation for the 16-21 year old age group are invited to join the Service area (Leaving Care and Supported Living) and Children's Commissioning at a Teams event on Wednesday 9th July at 1pm where there will be a short presentation and an opportunity to ask questions of the panel. Sessions are planned to last no more than an hour and will include representatives from the Commissioning Team and the Leaving Care and Supported Living service. They are available to book on a first come, first served basis. Any issues in joining, or providers would like the meeting invite sending to them in advance, or would like to reserve a one-to-one session, please email childrens_commissioning@lincolnshire.gov.uk If you are unable to attend the initial event on 9th July, the slides will be uploaded on ProContract shortly after that event closes; you are still able to request a one-to-one session from the dates above.
