Summary of the contracting process

The procurement, titled "Henry Moore Summer 2026," initiated on 5th June 2025, aims to facilitate a major exhibition of Henry Moore's works at Kew Gardens and Wakehurst, with involvement from the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew. The exhibition, falling under the category of art supplies, will be composed of 30 large-scale outdoor works. The contracting process follows a limited procurement method, specifically an award procedure without prior publication due to the exclusive intellectual property rights held by the Henry Moore Foundation. This process has been categorised under "goods" and is within the legal framework of the CELEX directive 32014L0024. The procurement encompasses various UK regions including UKC, UKD, UKI, UKJ, and UKK, with the contract status marked as active.

This tender presents a remarkable opportunity for growth in the art supplies sector, particularly for businesses involved in exhibitions and cultural events. The exclusive nature of the contract, given the Henry Moore Foundation's sole rights over the artworks, favours collaborations with established organisations in the art industry, augmenting brand visibility and potential revenue streams. The exhibition's linkage with Kew Gardens' mission to protect the natural world highlights collaborative efforts between artists and environmental sectors, encouraging businesses in related domains to engage and innovate. Additionally, opportunities may arise from retail and publishing sales associated with Moore's exhibition, further stimulating business development and partnership prospects for those aligned with creative and sustainable initiatives.
