This procurement is at the planning stage, with a focus on ambulance services classified under CPV code 85143000. The market engagement event, a crucial opportunity to engage with potential providers, is scheduled for Tuesday, 15th July at 9:30 am. The services are aimed at key hospital sites such as University Hospital Coventry, Hospital of St Cross in Rugby, Warwick Hospital, and George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton. More details about the requirements can be found on the Atamis portal, where interested parties are encouraged to register.

This procurement presents significant business growth opportunities, particularly for providers experienced in the delivery of patient transport services. Businesses capable of operating a comprehensive non-emergency transport service that aligns closely with acute, mental health, and community healthcare settings are well-suited to compete. The potential for a long-term contract, initially set for five years with an option to extend for another five, offers stability and development prospects. Engaging in the early market engagement events can offer valuable insights and position businesses advantageously for the forthcoming tender opportunities under the new Health Care Services Provider Selection Regime and Procurement Act regulations.
