Summary of the contracting process

Wrexham County Borough Council is currently in the tender stage of procuring a Supported Living Service for Adults with Mental Health Needs. This procurement is classified under social work and related services, with the location specified in the UKL23 region, United Kingdom. The tender is part of Wrexham's initiative to enhance housing-related support services as outlined in the Housing Support Programme Strategy 2022-2026. The service will be offered in a new build supported housing scheme, expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2025/26, comprising four one-bedroom apartments and a shared unit for four individuals. Key dates include an enquiry period ending on 10th November 2025 and a tender submission deadline of 18th November 2025. The procurement method employed is an open procedure, providing businesses with an opportunity to submit electronic bids in either English or Welsh.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in mental health supported living services to expand their portfolio. Ideal candidates are organisations experienced and registered in delivering such services, with a capacity to provide person-centred, recovery-focused support. SMEs and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to apply, as these entities are deemed suitable for participating in the tender. The contract period spans from January 2026 to December 2032, with potential renewals, allowing successful providers to establish long-term engagement with the council. Businesses equipped to recruit and maintain skilled staff, and those able to collaborate with mental health and housing services, will find this opportunity aligns with both community impact and business growth objectives.
