Description: UK4 - Tender Notice 1. Background/Context Local authorities are required to undertake a full assessment of the childcare provision in their area every five years. This is done through the production of a Childcare Sufficiency Assessment (CSA). Through the CSA, the local authority will need to assess the local childcare market to develop an understanding of parents' current and future need for childcare. The local authority will compare the assessment of parents' demand for childcare with information about the current and planned availability of childcare provision across the local authority area. 2. Summary: Wrexham County Borough Council is commissioning a childcare sufficiency assessment for Wrexham. The service is a research and consultancy assignment covering the local childcare market, including parents’ current and future demand, existing and planned provision, and gaps in supply. The supplier will collate and analyse information from population data, Care Inspectorate Wales self-assessments, survey results and consultation feedback. The work must produce a full assessment, an accessible summary and a five-year action plan developed with the Council’s partners.
