    "description": "This contract has been awarded under the urgent circumstances provision of the Provider Selection Regime (PSR). This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. Due to the sudden unplanned loss of vital clinical personnel, it was not foreseeable that this impact would take place and there is a significant risk to patient safety should the Trust not urgently award in these circumstances. This is due to increasing waiting times - including those for suspected cancer patients. As per the urgent guidelines the contract has been awarded to a provider the Trust has worked with previously due to the need to mobilise at pace. The contract is for 12 months and there are no conflicts of interest. The main decision makers are: Phil Weihser - Divisional Operations Director The Trusts' Hospital Management Group also ratified this decision",
