Notice Description

Babcock Land Defence Limited, acting as an agent to the UK Ministry of Defence (the "Authority"), has awarded a 5-Year Framework Agreement: Repair and Maintenance of Transmissions Fitted to the Viking Armoured Vehicle Platform Fleet and Protected Mobility Vehicle Platforms (PMVP) to Mitchell Diesel Limited (Mitchell Powerhouse Systems Ltd). The contract will cater to the UK's operational needs in these areas, with an overall estimated contract value of PS1,500,000. This direct award relies upon the justification at paragraph 5 of schedule 5 to the Procurement Act 2023. Mitchell Powerhouse Systems Lts have exclusive rights distributor agreement in relation to the UK with the original equipment manufacturer, Allison Transmissions, and are the only supplier that can supply the services required. No other reasonable alternative suppliers are available because the services required are in relation to transmissions manufactured by Allison Transmissions, in respect of which Mitchell Powersystems Ltd are the only licensee in the UK authorised to carry out the required services.
