Summary of the contracting process

This contract award notice pertains to a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) agreement under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, specifically for hospital and related services. The South East London Integrated Care Board (SEL ICB) acts as the Co-ordinating Commissioner, managing this significant contract with Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust in London, and involves multiple associate commissioners including NHS South West London, NHS North East London, and other regional NHS ICBs. The contract, starting on 1st April 2024, spans three years and may extend to five years. The award follows Direct Award Process A, where the provider, an NHS Foundation Trust, is the sole capable service provider given the unique nature of the services required.

This tender presents substantial business growth opportunities for organisations within the healthcare sector, especially those specialising in acute healthcare services. Contract value adjustments have been made by adding additional NHS funding, demonstrating a high-value investment, thus offering a stable long-term partnership. Businesses specialising in hospital management, clinical services, and specialised healthcare provision might find this contract particularly beneficial. The comprehensive regional collaboration across NHS bodies underscores the strategic importance of this project, encouraging entities with robust regional health service capabilities to engage in further expansion and partnership opportunities.
