Notice Description
Swindon Borough Council has a statutory requirement to resource overnight short breaks for families. As well as providing residential care for children and young people with complex needs and disabilities. This tender covers the need for a Short Break Overnight Respite and Complex Needs residential home within the boundaries of Swindon. The initial contract term will be for 12 months with an option to extend for a further 2 x 2 year extensions for a potential total contract term of 5 years as stated in the ITT documents. Estimated contract spend is approximately PS1,400,000million across the initial 1 year contract term and approximately PS7,000,000million across the potential total 5 year contract term. Full details relating to the Services are provided in the tender documents. To participate, Suppliers will need to Register as a Supplier with ProContract, www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk, then Register an Interest before obtaining access to the tender documents. Preliminary Market Engagement Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of overnight respite for children. Project Description Swindon Borough Council (SBC) are seeking providers who are willing to provide accommodation and deliver an overnight respite service in Swindon. This service will provide overnight respite for children 5 through to 18 with disability and complex needs. The term of the contract has yet to be identified, but could potentially be for 5 years plus 2 + 2. The proposal is that the initial contract term will be for 60 months with an option to extend for a further 108 months (x2 periods of 12 months) for a potential total contract term of 9 years. Estimated contract spend is £851,500 across the initial 5-year contract term and £1,532,700 across the potential total 9-year contract term. To participate, Suppliers will need to Register as a Supplier with ProContract, www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk, then Register an Interest before obtaining access to the PME document.
