Summary of the contracting process

The Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, as the buying organisation, has announced an intention to award a contract under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) for the expansion of the Supported Tenancies Scheme in the Brighton and Hove area. The scheme falls within the health services industry category and is structured to enhance rehabilitation for patients with complex needs through long-term housing solutions. The procurement stage is currently at the intention to award phase, with representations by providers required by 2nd September 2025. The contract is valued at approximately £113,692 for the initial period, with an optional extension worth £56,846, to be executed from 1st September 2025 to 31st August 2026. Notably, Brighton Housing Trust (BHT) is the intended contractor, submitting an outline plan in partnership with organisations including Turning Tides, which has been actively involved in the scheme.

This tender opportunity presents significant prospects for businesses within the health and housing sectors, especially those experienced in providing social housing and rehabilitation services. Companies equipped to collaborate with charitable organisations and public health services could leverage their expertise in providing tailored mental health care and intensive housing management. With a focus on innovative housing solutions that enhance patient transition to independence, businesses with a capability in developing sustainable housing initiatives would be well-suited to engage in this contract and support the strategic objectives of the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. Additionally, firms with expertise in cost management and financial planning in the healthcare domain might find this tender aligns with their growth objectives, providing an avenue to contribute to the health sector’s financial recovery plans.
