Summary of the contracting process

The London Borough of Bromley is currently in the procurement stage of an active tender process, inviting submissions for the provision of nutrition and dietetic advice services in six Children and Family Centres and other related venues. The title of the procurement is "Nutrition / Dietetic Advice / Food - Early Intervention Services for Parents and Their Children." This project falls under the health and social work services industry category and is located in the UK's region UKI61. The procurement method is an open competition, with a tender period ending on 29 September 2025. The procurement carries a gross value of £120,000, and services are expected to commence on 1 April 2026 for an initial period of one year, with potential extensions up to 31 March 2030.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in health, nutrition, and community support services, particularly those able to provide specialised and locally-targeted services. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) that can demonstrate understanding and adaptability to the specific nutritional needs within Bromley's communities stand a good chance of success. The contract's extension potential underscores the need for sustainable and responsive service offerings, ensuring continuous engagement with the evolving public health priorities of the local community. Businesses with capabilities in healthy eating promotion, budget-friendly meal planning, and engaging activities like cooking with children will find this opportunity particularly aligned with their expertise.

Examples of topics that parents have requested are listed below, but should not be considered as the only options:- * Specifically cooking with children * Healthy Eating and cooking on a budget / meal planning * Growing your own fruit and vegetables * Fussy eaters We welcome both parent and/or parent and child sessions. Preference in all areas will be given to those organisations able to clearly demonstrate that their service: - * is targeting specific and identified need in specific areas within Bromley; and * is not duplicating statutory provision but is providing additionality.

Lot Information

Lot 1

Renewal: It is anticipated that the Contract will commence on 01 April 2026 and be for an initial period of 1 year, with an option to extend on the same terms and conditions for up to 3 years on a 1+1+1+1 basis. The rationale for a contract award of 1+1+1+1 is due to the nature of the service; we require suppliers to be able to deliver specialised services locally across the borough and to be able to fully meet the changing needs of the early intervention and Public Health priorities and most importantly, the needs of the local community and the published priorities, and other Bromley council strategies. All provision will be reviewed on an annual basis to ensure activities/services remain responsive and are continuing to meet the needs of our local community.
