Empowering Parents Empowering Communities parenting programme in Lewisham
Notice Description
EPEC is an evidence-based, peer-led parenting programme designed to support families, especially those from a disadvantaged or socially excluded background in improving parenting skills and child outcomes. These include: Parenting Outcomes * Boosts confidence and skills in parenting * Improves understanding of child behaviour * Enhances communication between parents and children * Reduces stress and isolation among parents Child Outcomes * Fewer behavioural problems * Better emotional regulation * Improved school readiness, especially in younger children Community Outcomes * Builds peer support networks * Develops local parent leaders * Increases engagement with community services
