Summary of the contracting process

Somerset Council is initiating a procurement process, currently at the planning stage, titled "Shaping Our Collaborative Response to the Crisis and Resilience Fund." This initiative falls under the services category, specifically within health and social work services, and is located in the UKK23 region of the United Kingdom. The upcoming engagement event is scheduled for 24 September 2025, with an RSVP deadline of 22 September 2025. The process aims to launch a new delivery model for crisis support starting 1 April 2026, with a contract period extending until 31 March 2031. The engagement session invites stakeholders to explore collaborative strategies to implement the Department for Work and Pensions' (DWP) Crisis and Resilience Fund effectively.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly SMEs and those in the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector. Participating in the engagement session allows businesses to influence the design of a community-led delivery model, fostering partnerships and alliances that can enhance service delivery in Somerset. Companies specialising in health and social work services, especially those with expertise in financial resilience and preventative support, are well-suited to compete in this procurement process. Such businesses could leverage this opportunity to contribute to an innovative approach in crisis support, thus positioning themselves as key players in local service delivery improvements.
