Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) is a legal framework under which the local authority (Blackpool Council) acts as a supervisory body, in order to authorise deprivations of service user's liberty which are the responsibility of the state. As such Blackpool Council wishes to provide an opportunity for providers in the market to participate in a consultation exercise to help inform a forthcoming tender for the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Best Interest Assessor Framework. The purpose of this communication is to: * Establish a ballpark rate for undertaking Deprivation of Liberty Best Interest Assessments across the market. * Alert the market to a future tender opportunity.
