Notice Description

Nexus are seeking a replacement Road-Rail Vehicle (RRV) fitted with a scissor lift, primarily used by our Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) team as an elevated working platform. The current vehicle's large, stable platform enabling multiple team members to work simultaneously at height, while its compact chassis is particularly well-suited for operations within our tunnel network. A turntable function also allows the team to access and work around OLE masts with greater flexibility.

Nexus is undertaking an Pre Market Engagement Questionnaire for the replacement of a Rail Road Vehicle with Elevating Work Platform. Nexus intends to circulate a questionnaire via the RISQS portal under code D.B.1 On Track Plant with/without Operator, allowing you to provide more information about your interest and comment on the proposed approach. Suppliers will need to register on the RISQS portal by midday Tuesday 7th of October to gain access to documents and, to submit questionnaire responses. If you are not registered, you can do so here: https://www.risqs.org/ This Preliminary Market Engagement aims to: • Understand the market's appetite and capability to deliver a compliant Rail Road Vehicle. • Explore key delivery considerations • Understand risks and issues not previously considered • Provide potential suppliers with an opportunity to raise queries or suggest amendments in advance of any formal procurement.
