The Council is seeking to engage with providers capable of delivering high-quality, innovative care and support within a new 60-unit Extra Care Housing scheme in Holloway, scheduled to open in Autumn 2027. Providers should be equipped to meet the increasing complexity of need in Islington’s population, including frailty, dementia, autism, learning disabilities, and mental health. The Council is particularly interested in service models that promote independence, integrate effectively with health services, and reflect best practice in digital care and assistive technology. An online market engagement event was held on 11 September 2025. The session covered borough context, commissioning intentions, and indicative procurement timelines. Providers were invited to complete a survey and participate in one-to-one discussions with commissioners.
