Summary of the contracting process

The Health and Safety Executive is currently seeking bids for the provision of a low velocity anemometer system, targeting suppliers capable of providing 10 or more velocity probes and at least one temperature probe. The procurement process is in the tender stage, with the submission deadline for bids being 7th November 2025. This opportunity is classified under the goods industry category, specifically anemometers, and is open to businesses regardless of size, though suitability is indicated for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Interested parties must submit their proposals electronically through the HSE In-Tend supplier portal before the provided deadline. The project is situated in the Liverpool area, with the contract period commencing on 21st November 2025.

This tender offers an excellent opportunity for companies specialising in meteorological instrumentation, particularly those experienced with anemometer systems similar to the Dantec models. Businesses that can deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions while meeting specified technical requirements, such as compliance with international standards (EN 13182, ISO 7726, ISO 7730, ASHRAE 55 and 113), will find this tender advantageous. The open competition nature of this procurement enhances accessibility, encouraging diverse participation and providing a platform for industry growth and competitiveness. The project's alignment with specific technical standards and the emphasis on price-performance balance highlight opportunities for those adept in upgrading or refurbishing existing systems.
